Kojima reposted this lol
This game is such a vibe, I've played through it twice, once when it came out on PS4 and then a few years ago on with the PS5 Director's Cut version. I wasn't super into it at first but it really grew on me, I think around the part when you get the ziplines it really clicked with me, so much fun.
Boys I really tried. I swear I tried. This game does nothing for me. It is so mechanically barren and so unbelievably dull. I want to like it but an interesting world with tremendously hokey writing and a gameplay loop that's just not engaging can't do it for me.

I can't really blame you. I enjoy it but can totally see why someone wouldn't like it.

This is my second playthrough since release so there was nothing there drawing me back in 5 and a bit years. I only decided to play it again because DS2 is around the corner

What are people's thoughts on Kojima not directing the DS movie? I feel like it's probably for the best. He's a proven game designer but I'm not sure he has what it takes to helm a feature film, it was probably a smart move for him to just write it and let someone more experienced direct
Recently replayed this again since the directors cut was stealth dropped on the xbox. Its so charming in a way I can't put my finger on. Still hate the BTs though. All of Kojima's games have supernatural elements to them but they are so creepy.

I wished the BTs were more creepy! I was hoping it'd be something that wouldn't happen extremely regularly but would be something you'd seriously fear coming across and would go to lengths to avoid. In the end I just found them an annoyance when trying to complete deliveries.

I’m a wimp so I was grateful for how predictable they become lol I could avoid them or speed through on the bike or the truck.

I did this too, loved it. Platinumed both versions I enjoyed it that much. I really enjoyed the additions the Director's cut had, whipping about in the sports car was always fun after grinding for bastard hours to get the roads built.
Same, platinumed both versions. Started with the Director´s Cut though and then wanted to have the "og' experience.

Currently on an offline playthrough on another account. This is really something else. Complete desolation. But it´s SO GOOD to not have to look at all the clutter of other people´s unfinished bridges and stuff...
Can anyone here still remember what retail price for the collector´s edition was? The one with BB. €200 or was it less?
